Kia Forte: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) Inspection

Second generation YD (2014-2018) / Kia Forte TD 2014-2018 Service Manual / Engine Control / Fuel System / Engine Control System / Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) Inspection

1.	Turn the ignition switch OFF.

2.	Disconnect the ECTS connector.

3.	Remove the ECTS.

4.	After immersing the thermistor of the sensor into engine coolant, measure resistance between the ECTS terminals 1 and 3.

5.

Check that the resistance is within the specification.
