Kia Forte: Rear Door Latch Replacement

(4Door, 5Door)

1.	Remove the rear door trim. (Refer to Rear Door - "Rear Door Trim")

2.	Remove the rear door rear seal (A).

Loosen the rear door latch (A) mounting screws.

Tightening torque:

6.9 ~ 10.8 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 8.0 lb-ft)

4.	Disconnect the rear door latch connector (A).

5.	Remove the rear door outside handle rod (A).

6.	Remove the rear door latch assembly (A).

Install in the reverse order of removal.

â€¢	Make sure the connector is connected properly.

â€¢	Make sure the door locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly.

â€¢	Replace any damaged clips.

â€¢	Ensure that the the cage and inside handle is assembled.
